The aim of the podcast is to promote veteran health through music and storytelling.
Many veterans after transitioning out of Defence may feel disconnected, some struggle to adapt upon returning to civilian life. Finding the right support when you need it can be a challenge. There is a good chance by sharing your story you can provide some inspiration to others.
My interest in music is that each person may have certain songs that 'take them back,' hopefully in a good way. We can get so busy racing down the highway of life that it's easy to forget so many of the experiences we had along the way. I want to use music to jog the memory and recall the good times.
The key message is: 'Look after yourselves and look out for each other.'
Another aim of the podcast is to share some of the extraordinary stories of ordinary people who served the Defence Force.
The format for the podcast is a collection of music, some experiences and reflections. Episodes may be from one to two hours.
It is not meant to be a detailed account of your career and life. For a detailed history please consider the benefits of an Oral History recording. For more information see the Oral History page.
